Binary is the use of electronic pulses inside of a computer to send a message and do computations. Originally, using binary or assembly was the only way you could program computer games, but eventually programs that became more higher and higher in level, meant that it wasn't dealing with on and off switches, or ones and zeros. the number of 1s in a 10 digit stream represents the number of tens in a number and thee 0s are spaces.
